The Atlantic County Improvement Authority (ACIA) stands at the forefront of Atlantic County’s development, focusing on financing, planning, and constructing public improvements. In collaboration with the Inlet Community Development Corporation (Inlet CDC), the ACIA is set to implement the Atlantic City Downpayment Assistance Program, offering eligible applicants up to 10% of the purchase price and $5,000 for eligible closing costs, fostering homeownership in the Inlet Neighborhood. This strategic partnership, outlined in a nonbinding Memorandum of Understanding, solidifies their commitment to promoting thriving communities and creating pathways to homeownership in the vibrant Inlet neighborhood.
The Atlantic County Improvement Authority (ACIA) takes the lead in implementing the Atlantic City Housing Rehabilitation Program, offering a comprehensive approach to home improvement for owner-occupied residences. With funding of up to $25,000 per household, this program provides a 0% interest, deferred loan to address major systems and weatherization needs, contributing to the enhancement of housing conditions in the Inlet Neighborhood.
Partnering in this transformative endeavor, the Inlet Community Development Corporation (Inlet CDC) is committed to supporting businesses, residents, and visitors in the Inlet Neighborhood. Through the New Jersey Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program and other funding sources, the Inlet CDC offers a remarkable opportunity for homeowners. Residents can benefit from up to $20,000 in grant funding, with a minimum of $5,000 dedicated to external beautification, ensuring that homes not only meet functional needs but also contribute to the aesthetic vibrancy of the Inlet community.
Embarking on a mission to transform the visual landscape of the Inlet Neighborhood, the Inlet Neighborhood CDC Facade Improvement Grant Program emerges as a beacon of change. Generously supported by grants from the New Jersey Neighborhood Preservation Program and the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit programs, this initiative aims to enhance the façades of buildings and businesses, breathing new life into the heart of the Inlet.
Commencing in 2023, this program opens doors for building and business owners in the Inlet Neighborhood to access façade improvement grants. These grants serve as a powerful tool, allowing owners to make highly visible improvements to buildings and storefronts. With the vision to stimulate local economies, the program is a valuable addition to the economic vitality toolbox of businesses in the neighborhood.
Administered by Atlantic Cape Community College on behalf of the Inlet Neighborhood CDC, the program ensures efficient funding and grant administration. The Inlet Neighborhood CDC takes charge of design review, selection, and project vetting, working collaboratively to bring forth a revitalized and reimagined Inlet Neighborhood.
Unlock the potential for growth and enhancement with the Small Business Universal Working Capital Grant Program designed exclusively for businesses within the Inlet Boundary. This grant initiative offers a transformative opportunity, providing eligible businesses with grants of up to $5,000 to support a range of improvements and expenses.
The grant covers diverse aspects of business development, including equipment, lighting, security systems, hardware, interior/exterior construction, business vehicles, marketing expenses, website development, and other essential “business enhancements.” Moreover, a portion of the grant, up to $1,500, is designated for general business expenses, offering flexibility for items such as tax preparation services/fees, software expenses, and utility costs.
