Start a Career in Healthcare in Just 9 Months

The Inlet Community Development Corporation (Inlet CDC), in partnership with Atlantic Cape Community College, is proud to offer two full scholarships for graduating high school seniors who are interested in becoming a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA®).

This nationally recognized credential prepares students for in-demand healthcare careers in physicians’ offices, urgent care centers, and medical facilities.

Program Highlights
-Earn a CCMA® credential in approximately 9 months
-Hybrid format (in-person & online)
-National certification exams included
-Eligible for up to 17 college credits toward an Atlantic Cape Health Sciences degree
upon completion
-Scholarship covers full program cost
-Classes held at Atlantic Cape’s Worthington Atlantic City Campus

-Graduating high school seniors
-Residents of Atlantic City’s Inlet neighborhood
-Students interested in healthcare careers
-Motivated learners ready to commit to program requirements

Important Program Requirements
Students must complete the following PRIOR to registration and the first day of class:

Due Prior to Registration
-High school diploma (or proof of upcoming graduation)
-Minimum reading score of 11 on the Core Academic Skills Assessment (CASA)
-Completed health assessment/physical examination
-5-panel drug screening
-Proof of required immunizations:
-Hepatitis B
-T-dap
-MMR
-Varicella
-TB test
Note: All medical documentation must be completed no more than two months before the
program start date.

Due Prior to the First Day of Class
-Criminal background check
-Initiated during orientation
-Cost is the responsibility of the student
-Must be cleared within 30 days of the first day of class
-Students who do not clear the background check may not be eligible for the
clinical/internship portion of the program.
Student Responsibilities
-Purchase required supplies, including:
-White, closed-toe sneakers (no clogs or cutouts)
-Headphones/earbuds for online coursework

-Short essay (interest in healthcare & career goals)
-Proof of Inlet residency
-High school transcript
-Letters of recommendation (if required)
